Please join us for a screening of the award-winning film LOVE ALWAYS, MOM. The film is an inspiring documentary about a young metastatic breast cancer (MBC) patient, Trish Russo, who decides to build a family in the face of her disease. Through this unvarnished, first-person account, you share in Trish’s journey from being a vibrant newlywed to the shattering news of her diagnosis, and through the difficult choices she faces about her future and becoming a mom. It will move you, challenge you, and ultimately inspire you.

Filmed over the course of 3 years, LOVE ALWAYS, MOM is a feature documentary that tells the tale of a stage 4 cancer survivor and her husband's controversial decision to have a child using an egg donor and a surrogate. With laughter and tears, we witness a mothers love letter to her unborn child and a never before seen on film look into cancer and infertility.

LOVE ALWAYS, MOM is a film that speaks to anyone and everyone with a dream and inspires us to never give up on our dreams.

A panel discussion on oncology, fertility and infertility with the film subject and leading oncology and fertility preservation experts will follow the screening:

- Trish Russo, metastatic breast cancer thriver, film subject, and mom

Movie part of the official selection of DTLA Film Festival in Los Angeles and the Silicon Valley International Film Festival in San Francisco.

Do something different this October. Instead of purchasing #PinkJunk, learn about reality of living and parenting with MBC and help raise funds for treatment of this terminal disease.

Love Always, Mom” was funded by The Cyan Gray Hope Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit, to ignite a dialogue around cancer and fertility issues. All proceeds raised at Pittsburgh screening will go to go Metavivor Research & Support, Inc. towards research for treatment of metastatic breast cancer.

Metastatic breast cancer is the spread of breast cancer to distant body parts, most commonly the bones, liver, lungs, and brain. Many effective breast cancer treatments exist, but if the cancer metastasizes and spreads outside of the breast, there is no cure. If you know of someone who has died from breast cancer, they died from metastatic breast cancer.
One in eight women in the US will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Although breast cancer is often thought to be an easily curable cancer, about 30 percent of patients eventually become metastatic and will die from their disease. Cancer in one's breast does not kill; MBC kills. The average lifespan of someone diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer is only three years.

It is estimated that 42,260 people will die from metastatic breast cancer in the US this year; that is 116 deaths per day.

These number have been increasing for the past several decades yet only five to ten percent of breast cancer related funding goes toward research for treatment of MBC. We are asking you to help us change this and save lives.
